Synopsis

Mame Dennis finds herself with a ward, her ten-year-old nephew Patrick. She raises him in the only manner she knows, living life to its utmost. But when the Great Depression hits, Mame struggles to find work to keep her household together. After she meets, marries and loses a wealthy Southern gentleman, Mame must learn to let go of the only other man in her life, the now-grown Patrick.

Book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman. Based on the novel by Patrick Dennis and the play Auntie Mame by Lawrence and Lee. Dance and Musical numbers for the Broadway production staged by Onna White, and drected by Gene Saks. Produced for the New York Stage by Fryer, Carr & Harris
