On Wednesday June 13th the Middle School Peer Leaders volunteered their time to have the first annual 6th grade Activity Night for all 6th grade students. This was planned to help the students with their transition over to the Middle/High School Building next year. The activities that were included in this event were dancing, manicures, basketball, Kan Jam, badminton, and a concession stand. All the Peer Leaders worked in different stations throughout the evening, and even made sure every student was up and dancing during the final two songs. It was a fun evening and such a positive experience for everyone to get to know each other better.
The middle school peer leaders also conducted a student led orientation earlier in May for the entire 6th grade class which included a tour of the MS/HS and a question answer session. The peer leaders each have a small group of 6th graders that they will continue to work with through-out the upcoming school year.
