 Dear Parents,

            It was so wonderful to meet with so many of you at parent-teacher conferences last week. Hopefully our new report cards were easy to understand and helpful. Let us know your thoughts or concerns about the new report card as we will be able to make some revisions possibly in the future.

            The Iroquois projects were absolutely fantastic! We have had many people come in and compliment the work that was produced. We plan to have them on display for all to see in the library soon. All students seemed to enjoy the Iroquois unit greatly. Our next unit will be on explorers. Please prepare yourselves for another fabulous learning opportunity coming your way.

            Our student teacher, Mrs. Lamson will be leaving us on December 12^th. We have enjoyed having her in our classroom. Our students will miss her very much. We plan to have a small going away and congratulations celebration that day. As a new teacher it is hard to build a classroom library. We are hoping your child has a gently used book that they would like to donate to Mrs. Lamson’s future classroom. They may secretly bring in the book to either Ms. Fogarty or Ms. Williams to hide until the 12^th. Also, please feel free to send in a small treat to share with the class if your child wishes to do so on the 12^th.

            The holidays are fast approaching. We plan on having a celebration in our classroom on the 21^st.  Our plan is to order pizza and eat in the classroom that day. In addition, we will have time to watch a movie and sing Christmas carols. If possible, a donation of $1.00 to go towards the pizza would be appreciated. If you wish to send in a dessert or beverage of some sort for the students, that would be greatly appreciated also.

            Please do not have your child bring any cards or gifts for another child to the classroom. If they wish to exchange gifts with friends, please do this outside of school.
