1. Be on time: ready to begin when the bell rings.
2. Be prepared: bring all books and materials.
3. Dress appropriately.
4. Follow the Three R's: Respect for self, Respect for others & Responsibility for all your actions

Required Materials:

• 3-ring 1 1/2 or 2 inch binder (view binder preferred)
• Dividers for binder
• 3-hole punched lined paper
• Pen/pencils (blue or black ink preferred for quizzes & tests)
• French-English Dictionary for home (to use at home - LaRousse is a good one)
• 3x5 index cards for flashcards 

Homework:

ü      will be given at least twice per week to reinforce the learning in the classroom.

ü      is due at the beginning of class for full credit. Otherwise, no credit will be given. Partial credit will be considered ONLY if the student stays after or makes other arrangements with me to get extra help or discuss difficulties on the SAME DAY it is due.

ü      may be checked or collected and must be legible.

Grading:

            Classwork/Homework             20%

            Participation/Preparedness     20%

            Quizzes                               30%

            Tests                                  30%

 

*    Quizzes may be announced or unannounced.  Therefore, it is in your best interest to keep up with your homework.

    

Absences:

v     Don’t fall behind!  An absence due to illness, band, enrichment, sports, etc. is not an excuse for missing work. 

      It is your responsibility to see me to make up the work!

v     Students out of school for school related activities must complete and turn in work on time.  If I am not available, you may leave it in my mailbox.
