Science 21 is a lab based program which engages students in the investigation of four basic areas of science. Visit http://www.pnwboces.org/Science21/

Unit 1: Teaches the scientific process through an investigation of matter.

Unit 2: Students investigate food webs, food chains and the digestive system of the human body.  The food chain of an owl highlights this study ending with the disection of owl casts. A brief study of nutrition ends this unit of study.

Unit 3:  How do simple machines make our lives easier?   Through the investigation of six types of simple machines students learn how these wonderful inventions make our world a better place.

Unit 4:  This final unit of study investigates the geology of our planet Earth.
