Dual Credit Classes
(College Credit)

Dual credit classes offer students the opportunity to earn college credit while simultaneously earning high school credit.  Currently, Midlakes participates in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program, the Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) Gemini Program, and the Monroe Community College (MCC) Dual Credit Program.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT
Students may earn college credit through the AP program by taking an AP exam in May.  The test is scored on a scale of 1-5.  The granting of credit is determined by each receiving college or university, so students should check with the schools they are interested in to determine the needed score.  Midlakes currently offers the following AP classes:

AP Biology
AP Calculus
AP English Language
AP English Literature
AP United States History

FINGER LAKES COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Students may earn college credit through the Gemini Program by registering with FLCC at the beginning of each course.  The cost for the program for the 2012-2013 school-year is $47 per credit-hour, and all classes are 3 credit-hours for a total of $141 per class.  Students earn credit by completing the course, and their grade and credit for the college-level course will be reflected on an FLCC transcript.  The transfer of those credits is determined by the receiving college or university, so students should check with the schools they are interested in to determine if the credits will transfer.  Students must contact FLCC directly to have their transcript sent to the college or university they will be attending.  If they will be attending FLCC, they do not need to request a transcript.  Midlakes currently offers the following Gemini classes:
