I have compiled a bunch of different writing ideas and resources.  I hope you find this information helpful! 

  • Write a RAFT-  take the role of somebody else, set a target audience, pick a form, and pick your topic

  • Write a recipe- it can be something that you want to try or a really disgusting concoction.

 

  • Make a list- maybe its what you would like for your birthday, or some crazy inventions you would like to make someday.

 

  • Write a movie script-then draw the pictures to with it or have friends act it out!

 

  • Interview someone- generate some questions, interview the person and record their answers then make a podcast or blog!

  • Write a "How To" Guide- This can be about your favorite sport or a hobby you like to participate in.

 

  • Keep a journal or diary of your life or interesting things- add pictures, magazine or newspaper clippings

 

  • Make a Movie Poster- about your favorite book that you think should be turned into a movie!

 

  • Pen your own song- try it out or record it!  You could made your own CD- design the cover to go along with your music!

 

  • Design a riddle or joke- perform them for some friends!
