Family Fitness Calendar
Family Fitness Calendars We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our “Family Fitness Calendars!” Each month a calendar will be sent home with activities for you and your child to do together. Each weekday on the calendar will contain an activity to challenge you and your loved ones to live a healthy lifestyle. At the end of the month return your calendar signed by you and your child so that we can recognize their hard work. Students that turn in their calendars will be added to the "WALL OF FAME", which is located in the gymnasium for the whole school to see! Daily Themes Muscle Mondays: Students will work on improving muscular strength. Tasty Tuesdays: Teach your child how to create healthy meals that will strengthen their minds and body. Try to cook with them not for them so that they learn by doing! We are interested to see what you like to make. If you want to share a recipe with us send it in with your "Family Fitness Calendar" at the end of the month. Will share the best ones on the next months calendar!
Workout Wednesdays: Students will work on improving muscular endurance.
Touch Your Toes Thursdays: Thursday are for stretching! If done properly, stretching increases flexibility and this directly translates into reduced risk of injury. Friday Fun Days: Our busy schedules make it difficult to spend quality time together. Do a 30 minute activity as a group (NOT WATCHING TV)! "Say Thank You Saturdays": We had to do something for the adults. You do so much for you children so you deserve some rest. Have your kids do something around the house to help you! Make Up Sundays: Crazy weeks do happen & you're bound to miss a night or two. Use Sundays to catch up on things you may have missed during the week.
