Please remember to check your child's agenda and homework folder every night! The students have nightly reading and spelling homework. Students should read at least 20 minutes every night, including weekends. Spelling assignments are the same each week and are listed below. This packet is then due Friday morning. Students are also assigned a "Book of the Month Project" each month. The genre that we are focusing on will change monthly. Students choose a book within this genre and are then asked to complete a project to demonstrate their comprehension of the book. Math, Science, and Social Studies homework varies but is written in your child's agenda when assigned. Please practice multiplication and division facts with your child routinely. Weekly Spelling Assignments Monday: Write sentences using your new spelling words. Please underline or highlight your words in each sentence. Tuesday: Break your spelling words into syllables two times. Wednesday: Draw blocks around your spelling words two times. Thursday: Put your spelling words in alphabetical order two times.
