Cell Phone Policy

    The use of cell phones often interrupts instruction while contributing to behavior problems and cheating in the classroom.

    Cell phones, for the reasons, are not permitted for student use between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2:14 p.m. during the school day. Cell phone use is permitted during the period in between classes and in the café.

    Parents and legal guardians needing to contact their child during school hours should call the Main Office at (315) 548-6300. School staff will then locate and put students in contact with their parents and legal guardians, in the event of an emergency. 

    Students failing to comply will have their cell phone confiscated and placed in the Main Office until the end of the school day when the device will be released to the student. A parent or legal guardian will be required to pick the device in the Main Office if a cell phone is confiscated a second time.
