About Midlakes
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District (Midlakes schools) is comprised of the villages of Phelps and Clifton Springs as well as several smaller hamlets and portions of some nearby municipalities.
The school district has a population of approximately 10,000 and is located 28 miles east of Rochester and 50 miles west of Syracuse. Several high-tech and internationally known companies, a renowned hospital and the school district have established themselves as the largest employers in the community.
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District serves a diverse population and has an annual enrollment of more than 1,525 students in grades UPK-12. Midlakes Elementary School serves students in K-6 and houses a UPK program. Midlakes Middle/High School serves students in grades 7-12. The high school offers several Advanced Placement courses and partners with area colleges to provide students opportunities to receive college credits.
