The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District Facilities Department works diligently to keep the school campus looking beautiful while working hard to landscape, clean, repair, and maintain the facilities and grounds to support student learning in a safe environment. For more information, contact the Director of Facilities at (315) 548-6465.The department oversees approximately 125 acres, which includes 15 playing fields, an outdoor track, indoor swimming pool, performing arts auditorium, the Black Box Theatre, a Transportation Facility and about 445,000 square feet of space in two school buildings, and much more.

Facility Use Requests

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District Board of Education encourages the community use of school facilities when such use is in the public interest, does not conflict with school activities, and is not detrimental to the purpose of schools. Residents, staff members, and community groups can make online facility use requests by accessing the following link:

Asbestos Plan

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District, as required by federal regulations, has a comprehensive management plan for the removal or containment of any asbestos-containing materials within the district. This plan is on file with the District Office, 1490 Route 488, Clifton Springs, and is available for public inspection.

Fire Inspection Reports

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Fire Inspection reports for the school year for the buildings in the Phelps-Clifton Springs Center School District have been completed. Copies of these reports are available at the District Office for public inspection. For additional information, contact the Director of Facilities, at (315) 548-6465.

Pesticide Application

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District is required by law to maintain a list of staff and parents/guardians who wish to receive written notification 48 hours before the application of pesticides on school facilities. Certain pesticide applications are not subject to prior notification requirements.

SAVE Plan

The Phelps-Clifton Springs Center School District has developed a district-wide safety plan for state and students, according to Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation. The document is updated annually and submitted to the State Education Department. A copy is available for public inspection at District Office, 1490 State Route 488, Clifton Springs.

Testing of Drinking Water

On September 6, 2016, the New York State Governor signed legislation requiring all school districts to test potable water systems for lead contamination and to take responsive actions. To implement this new law, the Department of Health issued emergency regulations, titled Lead Testing in School Drinking Water. On May 9, 2018, the Lead Testing in School Drinking Water final regulation was published in the State Register, replacing the emergency regulation.
