FLTCC Remote Instructions

This section provides instructions for the remote learning process under any given situation for students attending programs at the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center.

Short-term Absence

 Students absent for one to three days due to illness, personal matter, or family obligation, should:

  1. Use assigned FLTCC Google email and contact your instructor.
  2. The FLTCC instructor will provide instructions for asynchronous work through email or on the FLTCC Google classroom page.

Short-term School-based Closure

 Occurs if Midlakes is required to move to remote instruction on a short-term basis of one to five days.

  1. Use assigned FLTCC Google email and contact your instructor.
  2. The FLTCC instructor will provide instructions for asynchronous work through email or on the FLTCC Google classroom page.

Long-term School-based Closure

 Occurs if Midlakes is required to move to remote learning for more than five consecutive days.

  1. Use assigned FLTCC Google email to contact your instructor.
  2. The FLTCC instructor will provide instructions regarding synchronous and asynchronous work through email or on the Google classroom page.
  3. Any Zoom links will be provided either through email or on the FLTCC Google classroom page. 

Note: For both short- and long-term remote instruction, students should use Google classroom and their Google email to contact their teachers for instructions regarding expectations, specific assignments or work, and links to any necessary Zoom meetings.
