Health Reminder
The success of the 2021-2022 school year depends on the entire Midlakes community working together to keep our students and staff healthy and safe. This is a weekly reminder to all students, families, and staff to observe the health and safety protocols outlined in our reopening plan, Midlakes Back to School ’21. Following these protocols will help limit disruptions to in-person learning.
Most importantly, students and staff are required, per NYSDOH, to wear a mask indoors at school. Students and staff are also encouraged to practice good hand and respiratory hygiene. Students and staff must stay home from school/work if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
- Fever (Temperature >100°)
- Chills
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Loss of taste or smell
- Headache
- Cough
- Nasal congestion
- Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
If you have any questions, please contact a school nurse before reporting to work or sending your child to school. The nurses will be able to answer your questions and guide you on the safest course of action.
Please refer to our reopening plan, Back to School ’21, on the school website for flowcharts that explain how Ontario County Public Health will make decisions regarding isolation, quarantine, and return to school/work.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we work together to keep our students, staff, and community safe and healthy, and avoid disruptions to in-person learning.
