District residents are invited to submit public comments regarding the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District's Amendment to its Emergency Preparedness Plan to help staff and public safety partners respond swiftly should an emergency occur. The District Emergency Preparedness Plan was previously approved for the 2022-2023 school year at the August 22, 2022 Board of Education meeting. It has since been updated with the following changes and will need to be approved by the Board of Education again:
- Our new Superintendent, Nicholas Ganster as Chief Safety Officer.
- An addendum to the current School Resource Officer contract
- The new School Resource Officer contract will provide additional SRO support and will begin on January 1, 2023.
A public comment period for the amended plan will be held from Tuesday, Oct. 4 - Friday, Nov. 4, 2022. Comments can be submitted starting Oct. 4 by using a chat box on this page or by calling the District Office at (315) 548-6420. Residents are encouraged to provide their name and contact information. Further information regarding the District's safety plan, as outlined by state law, is enclosed in the documents below.
