Schools Bus Drivers Wanted

    Drivers must have good knowledge of driving safety practices and traffic laws and regulations; ability to operate a bus under all driving and road conditions; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; ability to get along well with children and command their respect; mental alertness; dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. 

    »JOB POSTING: Midlakes School Bus Driver (Ongoing) 

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
    Possession of a valid New York State Operator's license and maintenance of such license throughout the tenure of employment in the position. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, meet Civil Service Requirements and will undergo a background check that includes fingerprinting in addition to be tested for drugs and alcohol by an independent testing laboratory. 
     
    Drivers all hold a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class B, with a Passenger Endorsement. Under the program, drivers must score at least 80 percent on a 115-question written examination. All new drivers must take the Commercial Drivers License Road Test conducted by a NY State Department of Motor Vehicles Inspector. Only a CDL permit is required to be hired.*
