Superintendent's Message: District Sets New Town Hall Meeting
We were excited to welcome staff back to campus today to begin the final stages of preparation for the start of the new school year. Throughout the week, staff will engage in required training, prepare their in-person and online classrooms (Seesaw and Schoology), and communicate to students and families the necessary instructions for in-person and remote learning.
In an effort to share updated information to provide clear expectations for the first day of instruction on September 14, we will also hold a virtual town hall meeting on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. The meeting will last 45-60 minutes and will be live-streamed on the Midlakes Schools Facebook page and the school website, Midlakes.org. Links to the town hall meeting will be posted at both locations shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday. The meeting will be recorded and posted on Facebook and the school website, for anyone unable to watch live.
The meeting will include information related to both hybrid and remote instruction, as well as general health and safety protocols. The panel for the virtual town hall meeting will include:
Chris Moyer, Elementary School Principal
Frank Bai-Rossi, Secondary School Principal
Michelle Robinette, Director of Curriculum and Instruction
John Lombardi, COVID-19 Safety Coordinator/Director of Physical Education, Health, & Athletics
Matt Sickles, Superintendent
The goal of the meeting is to review and clarify information related to the start of the academic school year, so everyone is ready for September 14. You may still submit questions by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will address as many of them as possible during the town hall meeting.
Thank you for your patience and support as we continue for a successful start to the new academic year.
