Volunteering at The Arc Wayne allows you to create meaningful relationships with individuals with and without disabilities as you help them learn valuable skills, create more opportunities for them to thrive or use your time and talents to help foster growth at the agency. 

The Arc Wayne's volunteers improve our community through a variety of programs, services and events that highlight what each volunteer excels in. Let us help you explore the dozens of volunteer opportunities across the agency.

Programs:

  • Central administration fundraising, PR, marketing, graphic design, special events and fundraisers, filing, data entry, research, mailings, administrative tasks
  • Community services community outings, organizing games, after-school activities
  • Day services mentoring individuals with disabilities, organizing games, arts and crafts, music therapy, community outings, gardening, baking, improving reading and writing skills
  • Key Industries packaging, assembling, mentoring individuals with disabilities, landscaping, painting, carpentry
  • Roosevelt Children's Center foster grandparent, reading to students, cleaning, organizing classrooms, organizing and executing Scholastic Book Fair, events and fundraisers
  • Residential services cleaning, cooking, baking, mentoring individuals with disabilities, organizing events, arts and crafts, and yard work
  • Gain valuable work experience and give back to your community with an internship at The Arc Wayne.
  • Board of Directors advocacy, fundraising, financial planning, development
