District Offering Free Meals to Students

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the free meal waiver program through the end of the academic year, allowing the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District to provide every Midlakes student breakfast and lunch at no cost through June 30, 2021.

»FORM: Meal Delivery Service (see below)

The District will continue to offer a brown bag-style breakfast and lunch for all students, regardless of learning model (remote/hybrid). However, given the updated two-run bus schedule starting November 2 we will no longer be delivering two days a week. Instead we will be providing a weekly delivery of five days worth of meals on Mondays only. We will only deliver five days worth of meals. There will be no option for three days worth of meals after November 2.

Given the changes in the delivery model, we are requiring families to sign up to continute meal delivery service after October 29.  If you are receiving meals now, you will need to fill out a new request form to continue meal service starting on November 2. Those requesting meal delivery service must complete the meal survey link found under the "Food Service" tab under the "Departments" dropdown menu at If you are unable to complete the form online, please email or call me at the contact information below. All requests for Monday delivery service must be submitted by the preceding Wednesday. If your child has a dietary restriction, please reach out to the school nurse to provide the proper documentation.

The District remains dedicated to ensuring that every Midlakes student has access to nutritional meals and has provided Midlakes students approximately 140,000 meals from March through August. Families with questions regarding the child nutrition program at Midlakes are invited to call (315) 548-6415 or email
