Superintendent's Message: Important Information on Isolation/Quarantine Protocols

JAN. 11, 2021 — Thank you for your patience as we continue to clarify and respond to updated guidance from NYSDOH and Ontario County DOH regarding quarantine and isolation protocols for school.

We have updated the school website to clarify and add to the information I shared this morning. Please visit the website at for more details regarding the updated quarantine and isolation protocols.

Please note an important clarification of the information I shared earlier today. Students and staff who are fully vaccinated and are exposed to a positive case can attend school/work and are not required to quarantine outside of school.

I encourage you to read this section of the school website carefully, as we address several frequently asked questions and provide more details about the new protocols.  We will continue to update you as new information becomes available.

We have also been informed that we will received another shipment of rapid COVID-19 tests from New York State. We expect to receive our shipment later this week. However, instead of receiving one box for every student in the District, we will only receive half that number.

Consistent with NYSDOH recommendations, we will use these tests to support our Test to Stay protocols. Test to Stay is important for keeping students in school, identifying positive cases, and preventing exposures.

If you encounter a specific need to test your student to support in-person instruction, please contact one of our school nurses and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to support safe in-person instruction.
