JAN. 11, 2022 — Midlakes Middle School welcomed 20 students during its inaugural induction ceremony of its National Junior Honor Society on Thursday, Jan. 6.
The National Junior Honor Society strives to recognize the total student, someone excelling in areas of service, character, leadership, citizenship, and scholarship. Students must also have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 88 percent and each application is reviewed by a faculty panel.
Jocelyn McConnon and Denise Kelly are co-advisors of Midlakes chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. Principal Frank Bai-Rossi, Superintendent Matt Sickles, school board member Ryan Davis and High School National Honor Society members Kenzie Wheeler, Cora Stevenson and Aidan Conover joined the ceremony attended by parents and families of the inductees.
