Board of Education Thanks Superintendent for Service

JULY 29, 2022 — The Board of Education would like to express our sincere thanks to Matt Sickles for his dedication and service to the District for the past five years. During his tenure as Superintendent, Matt led the Midlakes community in establishing our current Strategic Plan, launching a $15.6 million Capital Improvement Project, and shaping successful school budgets. These important accomplishments have been instrumental in establishing a strong base for the continual growth and improvement of our district.
Matt’s passion and investment in our community extended beyond our school walls. He supported our community through food drives, was a proud Rotarian, and worked to shine a positive spotlight on the tremendous work of our students and staff through any opportunity that arose.
Matt will be taking vacation during the month of August to get some rest and relaxation before taking on his new assignment September 1.  We appreciate Matt’s stewardship and we wish nothing but the best for Matt and his family as they embark on a new journey.
Thank you, Matt, for making Midlakes your home for these past five years.
Be well,
Tracy W. Altman,
President, Board of Education
