Food Drive Nets Nearly 2,640 Items

NOV. 17, 2022 — A nonperishable food drive at Midlakes Elementary School took in 2,638 total items to help feed several families in need during the holidays. The total was approximately double the 1,300 items that the school collected last year.

The school’s annual food drive was also a competition of sorts, with the grade level collecting the greatest number of items getting the option of hitting their favorite administrator with a pie, either Principal Chris Moyer, Assistant Principal Alaina Benzer or Dean of Students Jessica VanDamme.

Their decision has yet to be announced!
