JAN. 20, 2023 — The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central District has been selected to participate in the 2023 EvalumetricsYouth Survey sponsored by Finger Lakes Community Schools to help build a healthy school community, understand underlying risk factors, and to better support student learning and healthy outcomes.
The survey will be administered to 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th graders. The information collected helps improve our understanding of the factors impacting positive student growth. Midlakes and other area schools use survey results to enhance prevention strategies and improve youth development efforts.
Our families need to know that:
Participation in the survey is voluntary. Students are not required to answer any or all of the questions. You do not need to give a reason for not participating.
The survey is anonymous. Identifying information will not be collected.
Midlakes and Finger Lakes Community Schools will use the results to better plan prevention efforts and services for our youth.
The survey has been scientifically tested and is valid and reliable. It has been given to more than 100,000 students in schools across New York since 1995 without difficulty.
The survey is scheduled to be administered in school sometime between Feb. 5-17. If you do not want your child to participate, please send your building principal a note or call the Main Office of your school by Friday, Feb. 3. Also, a copy of the survey will be available for review in the Main Office of your school.
We appreciate your participation in this important part of our ongoing efforts to keep our children healthy and safe in support of their learning and development.
